In the Costa Blanca we find some of the most beautiful and best preserved of the Mediterranean historical centres. Without a doubt, the Altea is one of them. Pristine white walls and Blue Dome of the parish church, has become a typical image of the town in which we can find all kinds of luxury homes.
Between neighbors the old town is known as "fornet" and architecturally notable for its clear Arabic influence: narrow, circular, dead-end, cobbled streets... i.e., ipico's other Mediterranean locations. Its situation in height - to visit from below must be prepared to walk uphill - offers the possibility of enjoying beautiful views. Along the way we can enter in any of the many craft shops that buy anything made with loving care.
In addition to traditional houses, which in this case are most beautiful yet thanks to the thousands of flowers that decorate its facades and balconies, the historic centre is topped by the parish church of Nuestra Señora del Consuelo.
And on a trip from the past to the present, another unique building that we should not miss is the Palau. A great cultural center located in the low historical centre which hosts from concerts of music of all kinds to Congress through art exhibitions.
Outside the historic centre, Altea offers thousand corners where you can enjoy unforgettable moments. Precious and small coves, historic towers watch... All an attraction that has made it possible that there is a great deal in this population to buy luxury villas.
