Dolphins and whales in the sea of the Costa Blanca
In recent times is most common sightings of cetaceans off the coast of the Costa Blanca. There are many tourists and residents in the area that on board their boats have enjoyed the wonderful spectacle of seeing a dolphin sail the waters. There is a routine in the behavior of these animals allowing to ensure that we can see them on a given day and time. They tend to be random encounters.
The main species that we can have the chance to spot are bottlenose dolphins, a colony of permanently inhabiting this part of the Mediterranean; also scratched and bottle-nosed dolphins and the impressive whales minke whales (the second largest planet animal), pilot, fin and sperm.
These whales have been seen opposite towns like Denia, Javea, Moraira or Altea. In the video, we can see the moment of a sighting of the whale fin whale in Javea.
